  • Software Developer (Permanent)

    As part of our continuing expansion and investment in people, Amscreen is currently recruiting for the vacancy of a Software Developer within our Software Development team reporting to the CTO.

    This role will focus on the development of new products and continuous improvement of the existing product portfolio. Working with the Engineering team and Project management teams, you will be instrumental in developing the next generation of software solutions for our Amscreen products.

    The role is full-time on site.

     

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

    • Develop and maintain software solutions (Web Applications & Worker Services)
    • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and standards
    • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
    • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (Design, Implementation, Test, Release)
    • Create and maintain technical documentation
    • Follow sprint planning activities across multiple product workstreams
    • Work within in an Agile environment using Scrum ceremonies
    • Support Continuous improvements for product and business requirements
    • Liaise with Software Support Analyst to support in debugging escalated issues
    • Collaborate with business teams on development activities.
    • Stay up to date with latest technologies, industry trends and training

     

    What are we looking for in a successful candidate?

    • 3 years’ experience in commercial Full Stack Software Development
    • Strong understanding of C#, .Net, SOLID and design patterns
    • MS SQL Server, Database design principles, Entity Framework & LINQ
    • Linux experience / Bash scripting
    • Angular 18 / Typescript
    • Microservices architecture
    • IOT Devices / headless applications
    • Agile knowledge / ceremonies / project life cycle / Scrum
    • Azure DevOps / Pipelines

  • Quality Manager (Permanent)

    As part of our continuing investment in people, Amscreen is currently recruiting for the exciting vacancy of a Quality Manager which is part of the Manufacturing team reporting to the Manufacturing Director with the role purpose to ensure that the quality control systems continually develop in line with the needs of Amscreen to meet the needs of its stakeholders, inclusive of customer base.  The role will ensure that the design intent is met by reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications, monitoring materials for any defects and resolving quality issues with the supply base.

    Additionally within the scope of responsibilities, you will also ensure that a knowledge of abilities is developed and retained at each of the core suppliers to ensure Amscreen’s design processes are fully aware of any constraints and will also compile, feedback and work with each supplier to address ongoing quality issues.

    This role is full-time office based with one direct report currently as part of the team structure.

     

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

    • Developing and implementing quality control Systems and Standards such as ISO9000 and ISO14000
    • Directing and coordinating the company’s quality control system
    • Defining and developing a standard suite of tools for Root Cause Analysis and Problem solving
    • Developing a 3yr rolling internal Audit plan to meet the needs of the business and its commitments to all applicable standards
    • Develop the internal audit program to ensure lessons learnt are implemented
    • Ensuring that all products delivered meet the design intent and quality levels required
    • Working with the development departments and be a key contributor to the product delivery process, ensuring manufacturing aspects within the supply chain are considered at an early stage and pulling new products through to manufacture
    • Working with the design and procurement functions in researching, sourcing, and assessing the best vendors to supply the necessary products
    • Visiting vendor facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures
    • Performing regular quality control audits to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with company and federal standards
    • Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors to check for defects and ensure quality
    • Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues
    • Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas that result in flaws
    • Providing technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates
    • Serving as a liaison between Amscreen senior management and the vendors to identify quality issues and come up with solutions
    • Conducting vendor assessment and surveillance audits at the appropriate frequency

     

    The successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge base of ISO900 and 14000, including implementation and maintenance of either of both along with knowledge and experience of  Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Six Sigma is desirable

    You will possess excellent problem-solving skills and a working knowledge of standard Microsoft tools.  With a high level of enthusiasm and strong desire to learn and improve, you will also be a strong team player with a flexible approach to work and willingness to travel as needed (with a full driving licence) required.

    In terms of qualifications, a relevant Quality Management, Manufacturing or Engineering related degree is preferred or HND, BTEC Professional Level 5 Qualification, equivalent NVQ Level 5 qualification or equivalent Electronics Degree.

  • Head of Production (Permanent)

    As part of our continuing investment in people, Amscreen is currently recruiting for the exciting vacancy of Head of Production which is part of the Manufacturing team reporting to the Manufacturing Director with the role purpose to ensure that the production operations develops in line with Amscreen needs and subsequently the requirements of its stakeholders inclusive of the customer base.  The role will ensure that the design intent is met by reviewing engineering and manufacturing specifications monitoring all processes for any defects and resolving quality issues.

    This role is full-time office based with two direct reports as part of the team structure.

     

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

    • Production of all Amscreen products to the required quality levels and customer deadlines
    • Development of and execution of the overall production plan
    • Development of staff training to ensure high levels of competence are maintained throughout the production team
    • Management and ownership of stock to ensure the highest levels of stock accuracy via Cycle counting, stock takes and BOM accuracy for example.
    • Manage Change of product requirements through participation in the change note process and implementation of change.
    • Development and execution of the production strategy to ensure continuous improvement and the needs of the business is met over time.
    • Work closely with the design functions to ensure product manufacturability meets the desired quality levels and manufacturability requirements as defined in the Production Strategy.
    • Ensure production test are in place where applicable utilising suitable technologies
    • Provision of regular reports on performance to plan to the snr management team.
    • Ensure H&S is at the forefront of the operations within Production
    • Member of the H&S and Quality management teams

     

    The successful applicant will have an in-depth knowledge base of production principles and practices and of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Lean Manufacturing techniques.  Six sigma is also desirable.
